The sea wind had kept its promise. For three days, the Islands of Roxéliane saw their shores contested by two banners determined to carve their names onto the maps of the world, just as Édouard d’Orléans had dreamed when he departed the tranquil waters of the Pays de Kafe.

Tuesday belonged to the scouts. Along the cliffs and coves, it was the men of the Lys Royal who proved able to read the archipelago before all others, uncovering enemy positions and piercing the secrets jealously guarded by the headlands. A first victory, discreet yet decisive, which granted Ramiel de Portelance the advantage of knowledge.

Thursday turned the tide, however. In the clandestine warehouses piled high with provisions and cargo stolen from corsairs, it was the Bocks de Fer who struck with the fury of a true storm. The docks changed hands amid the clash of steel, and the coveted riches fell under their banner.

Saturday sealed the fate of the conquest. Beneath the thunder of cannons and the assault of siege engines, the towers of the fortress fell one by one.

When the smoke cleared, only a single banner flew above the ramparts, that of the Bocks de Fer, now the undisputed masters of the Islands of Roxéliane and the great victors of Grande Bataille 1026.

Édouard d’Orléans, as he had promised, then turned his gaze toward new horizons. He left the Pays de Kafe and his province of Méridia, entrusting most of his lands to his most loyal allies, Roy Alphonse de la Vigne and the guild of Darashkov, who would henceforth safeguard all that he had built.

The new ocean still awaits its name, one that the new Admiral Asarnil Dr’Kol will have the honor of bestowing upon it.

The outposts still await their masters. At the September Ducasse, Édouard will seal his alliance with his new vassals, the Bocks de Fer, and the Islands of Roxéliane will finally enter the history of the known world.

Édouard d’Orléans, the new Warlord of the Islands of Roxéliane, will henceforth possess a realm worthy of his ambitions.
